Timothy Robert Jones, 65

Timothy Robert Jones of Fort Meade passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Advent Health Sebring.

He was born February 21, 1956 in Aurora, Illinois to Robert and Janet Jones; he moved to Lake Wales from South Carolina three years ago. Timothy was the Director of Environmental Services for the Hospital Housekeeping Services and held a master’s degree in business administration. He led a life marked by faith and was a member of Christ Fellowship. His strength of character was only matched by his love for others. When not studying history, you could always find him playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jones. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jeanine Jones; daughters, Angela Sterling (Matt) of Slidell, Louisiana, Heather Preston (John Timothy) of Port Saint Lucie, and Rachel Jones of West Palm Beach; sisters, Rhonda Shepard of Bristol, Illinois, and Cindy Jones of Bartow; brother, Tyler Jones (Kelly) of Ocala; and grandchildren, Da’Wuan, Passion, Destin, Ava, and one soon to be grandson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
