Timothy Eugene Glover
Timothy Eugene Glover entered into Glory on May 26, 2023, at age 65. Tim was born to Beverly and Troy Glover on March 10, 1958, and lived in Lake Wales, Florida from the age of 9, the same age he started working in his father’s Amoco service station. Tim became a Deputy Sheriff with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department in 1980, where he served 30-years, retiring as a Sergeant. Much of Tim’s career was spent in the Agriculture unit. Serving as a Deputy wasn’t Tim’s only job. He spent most of his off-duty hours working as a cowhand for his Father-in-law.
Tim returned to law enforcement four years after retiring from the Sheriff’s Department, when he served as a Traffic Officer for the Haines City Police Department from 2014 to 2020.
Over the course of his life, Tim attended Golfview Baptist Church, and HighPoint Church in Lake Wales. He was passionate about sharing his faith with others, so that they too, could know Jesus and spend eternity in heaven.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Troy Glover and his mother, Beverly Glover. He is survived by his bride of nearly 48 years, Glennis Stokes Glover, his children Michelle and Jason Jordan, Meredith and Keith Massey and Melissa and Matt Hulen, 12 adoring grandchildren, and siblings Rick Craig, Agnes Bailey and Troy Glover, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on June 19 at 1:00pm at the High Point Church, 4025 N. Scenic Highway, Lake Wales, Florida 33898. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to go to the Pace Center for Girls ( https://everloved.com/life-of/timothy-glover/ ) or the Hand Up organization to help bring food to the homeless. There will be baskets available at the Church to donate to each of these organizations.
