Thomas Jackson Yarbrough

Thomas Jackson “Jack” Yarbrough, 88 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Hardee Manor Health Care in Wauchula, Florida.

He was born on September 19, 1927 in Dundee, Florida to the late Joseph J. and Ethel M. (Mansfield) Yarbrough and he has been a resident of this area since 1958 moving here from Winter Haven. He as a retired supervisor for Procter & Gamble and Ben Hill Griffin. Jack liked to fish, watch football, he was a big gator fan, and he enjoyed working with fruit trees and being outside. He was a 32degree Mason in Frostproof, Recon Sgt. for the National Guard, a member of the American Legion, DAV and Jack served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frostproof.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Noble Yarbrough; sons, Freddy Yarbrough and wife Melinda of Frostproof, Steve Yarbrough of St. Petersburg; brother, Jim Yarbrough and wife Barbara of Orlando; 2 grandchildren, Chris (Justin) Brown, Fred (Kelly) Yarbrough of Frostproof; 6 great grandchildren; niece, Linda Taylor and husband Rod and family; nephew, Jason Yarbrough, family, Johnny and Gayle Stephens.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time.
