LAKE WALES--Thomas L. “Tom” Wellman, 57, of Lake Wales died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

Born December 25, 1949 in Trinadad, CO; he came to the area as a child with his parents Hiram & Ethelene Wellman. He was a computer test engineer for NSTOR in Lake Mary. He was a member of the Calvary Temple and a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of Kiwanis and enjoyed coaching little league, softball, fishing and camping.

Mr. Wellman was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Wellman. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Gail Wellman of Lake Wales; daughter, Valerie Wellman of Lake Wales; brother, Joey Wellman of Lakeland; Hiram Wellman; sister, Brenda Goodman of Lake Wales; step-mother, Olga Wellman of Phoenix, AZ; step-brothers, Jose Tijerino, Omar Tijerino, Julio Tijerino and Louis Tijerino all of Miami.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 01, 2007 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
