THOMAS RICHARD VALENTINE SR., 84
Thomas R. Valentine Sr. of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born January 20, 1934 in Peters, Michigan to the late Charles M. and Dorthy (Davis) Valentine. He has been a resident of the area for 25 years coming from Port Huron, Michigan. He received his bachelor’s in engineering from the Michigan College of Mining and Technology in Houghton, Michigan. He was a Registered Civil Engineer and Owner of TR Valentine and Associates. He was an avid Golfer, past President of the Black River Country Club in Port Huron, past President of the IDC, and past President of the Blue Water Chapter of the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers. He did a lot of work for the City of Port Huron and had an influential impact on many Marina’s and Condo’s. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Beverly Valentine, daughters Cathy Currier and husband Jeff of Port Huron, MI, Michelle Hamilton and husband Gregory of Casco Township, MI, Jill McKenny and husband Mark of Gold Hill, NC, sons Thomas R. Valentine, Jr. and wife Kathleen of Hazel Park, MI, Paul Valentine of Lake Wales, FL, Michael J. Valentine and wife Tracy of Boynton Beach, FL, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and brother Charles “Pat” Valentine and wife Luana of Ponte Vedra, FL.
Memorial mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
