Thomas James Troup, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on October 16, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. Born on May 12, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, Thomas lived a life marked by service, commitment, and love for his family.
Thomas proudly served in the United States Army before dedicating his career to the Columbus City Fire Department, where he worked as a firefighter. His courage and dedication during his years on the force exemplified his commitment to community and service.
As a loving family man, Thomas is survived by his cherished wife, Trish Troup. He was the proud father of Trisha Lambert and her husband Dwayne, and Tom Troup and his wife Tara. Together, they carry on his legacy, enriched by the joy of their children, including his grandsons Anthony, Kirklin, and Kaleb.
Thomas also leaves behind his beloved brother, Douglas Troup, and his wife Ruth, along with his niece Lindsey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Garnette Troup, who instilled in him the values of hard work, respect, and kindness that echoed throughout his life.
Thomas's love for his family and dedication to his community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones, whose lives he touched profoundly.
