Thomas "Tommy" Ruff

Thomas Ruff of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 due to an auto accident in Bartow.

He was born March 4, 1961 in Columbia, SC; and he came here from Miami in 1983. He was a truck driver for MidState Energy and a member of High Point Church. He was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor, was a friend to everyone and was a shirt off his back guy. He was lovingly known as "Talk-a-tive Tom". He was a great family man and loved fishing with his son.

Survivors include his wife of almost 19 years, Sandra Conrad Ruff; son, Thomas O. Ruff II of Lake Wales; parents, Walter S. & Carolyn D. Ruff of Lake Wales; sister, Carmen L. Russell (James) of Lake Wales; brother, Walter E. Ruff of Lake Wales; sister-in-law, Teri Conrad Pierce of Lake Wales; six nieces and nephews; one great-nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the High Point Church in Lake Wales with Pastor Jack Hilligoss officiating.Family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time.

In honor of Tommy, his wife Sandra is requesting that everyone in attendance please dress in "Tommy Attire". That would include, but is not limited to, white sneakers, jeans or shorts, and t-shirts. Please do not feel obligated to adhere to this request.
