Thomas Charles Knuff, born on October 26, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on April 11, 2026, at his residence. He was a retired cost estimator who worked as a government contractor and served his country in the United States Air Force.
Thomas was a dedicated member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, Florida. He moved to Davenport from Ohio four years ago, where he continued to enjoy his passions and faith. He had an interest in railroads, police scanners, weather, and shortwave radio. Music was a special part of his life; he both enjoyed listening to it and writing music.
Thomas is survived by his beloved daughters, Ellen Sue Warmoth and her husband Bill of Franklin, Tennessee; Christine Sue Hoffer and her husband Paul of Davenport; and Loretta Sue Knuff-McNeill and her husband John of Perryville, Arkansas. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, WT, Christian, Alethea, Jeramy, and Christina; great-grandchildren, John, Thomas, Lorelei, Alyssa, Kayla, and Cody; and close friend, Ken Emmitt. His parents, Francis and Geraldine Knuff, preceded him in death.
A Mass to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on April 16, 2026, at 12:30 PM at St. Ann Catholic Church. Following this, a burial service will take place on April 17, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Queen of Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor can be sent to the Saint Ann Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in Haines City.
