Theresa “Terri” Smith, 73

Theresa “Terri” Smith of Frostproof passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

She was born September 17, 1951 in Westfield, Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Jean Desabrais; she moved to Frostproof from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts 15 years ago. Terri was a bookkeeper and board member for Electro-Term Inc. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Frostproof. Terri was an avid quilter who was a member of the Highlands County Quilt Guild; she made many charity quilts to give away and also made scarfs to donate.

Terri was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Smith in 2008. She is survived by her sister, Joan Markert of Frostproof; and nephews, Jeffrey Markert of Providence, Rhode Island and Timothy Markert of Frostproof.

No local services will be held. Interment will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor can he sent to the charity of your choice.
