WINTER HAVEN--Theresa “Ms. ‘T’” Mercer of Winter Haven died Wednesday, February 07, 2007 at the Bartow Regional Hospital. She was 52.

Born August 28, 1954 in Lake Wales; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a 12th grade English teacher at Haines City High School. She was of the Pentecostal faith, a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

Mrs. Mercer was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Mercer, in 2002 and her brother, Ricky Pridgen, in 1997. Survivors include her daughters, Jessica “Punkie” Mercer of Winter Haven; Deahna “Nonnie” Kayworth of Winter Haven; Paulyn “Pooh” Mercer of Lake Wales; son, Chase E. “Bubzy” Mercer of Winter Haven; brother, Steve Pridgen of Bartow; and one grandchild, Believe “Sweeter” Kayworth.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Scotty Britt officiating.
