LAKE WALES--Thelma G. Johnson “Ma Maw” McKee of Lake Wales journeyed to her heavenly home on April 18, 2007 from complications of a stroke in Winter Haven Hospital. She was 79. She was born on July 6, 1927 in Berlin New Hampshire, and moved to Lake Wales from Daytona Beach in 1964. She was a retired retail sales manager with McCrory’s and a long time member of Lake Wales Lutheran Church. “Ma Maw” was a friend to all and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her two granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob McKee and will celebrate 54 years of marriage with him in heaven. Other survivors include Linda and Steve Schlottman of Casselberry, FL and Nancy and Alan Huntt of Winter Haven, FL; two granddaughters Sarah Huntt of Lake Wales and Erin Huntt of Jacksonville, FL; a sister Ruth Barnett of Winchester, VA; two brothers Robert Johnson of Lancaster, NH and Rolf Johnson of Lake Wales, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on April 20, 2007 at the Lake Wales Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. John Glamann officiating. Interment will be held following the service at Florida National Cemetery in Buchnell, FL.
