Thelma Lynn Ivey, 57

Thelma Lynn Ivey of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

She was born April 7, 1964 in Ludington, Michigan; she moved to Lake Wales as a child and has been here for the entirety of her life. Thelma was a retired caregiver and an active member of Waverly Baptist Church. She was a very religious lady and loved to paint and draw. Thelma enjoyed yard sales, thrift stores, and visiting and praying for people.

Thelma was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Hilden. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joey L. Ivey of Lake Wales; sons, Shane Ivey (Crystal) of Bartow, and Hunter Ivey (Jessica) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; mother, Virginia White of Michigan; sisters, Becky Burkhart of Michigan, Barbara Lassiter of North Carolina; brother, Allan White of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be scheduled at Waverly Baptist Church at a later time.
