Thelma Henson, 91, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 30, 1928 in Huxford, Alabama to the late Littles and Ellen (Colbert) McGhee and she has been a resident of this area since 1960 moving here from Statenville, Georgia. She was a retired Grader for Florida Natural and was a member of the Frostproof Church of God. Thelma enjoyed going to the Care Center in Frostproof, reading her bible, she enjoyed a clean house and was a member of the Poarch Creek Indian Tribe in Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Henson in 2002.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Ellis (Clarence) of Frostproof, Michelle Leyva ( Manuel) of Frostproof; sons, Gary Henson ( Deborah) Satsuma, Florida, Michael Henson of Lake Butler, Florida; 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren and one on the way and 1 great great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 from 10:00 am until the service time at 11:00 AM at the Frostproof Church of God with Rev. Sam Haag officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
