LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Thelma Rose Euverard of Lake Wales died of heart failure Wednesday (April 5, 2006) at Dove Health Care. She was 88.

Born in Aberdeen, Ind., on Jan. 26, 1918, she came to Lake Wales from Danville, Ohio, in 1984. She was a retired grocery store owner and a former member of the Independence Grocers Association. She was a member of First Christian Church in Lake Wales.

Mrs. Euverard was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Euverard. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Hopp, Lake Wales; son, Cary Lyle Euverard, Lake Wales; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
