Thelma Lee Deal, 90

Thelma Lee Deal of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.

She was born February 17, 1933 in Bonifay to the late William Thomas and Ellie Mae Day; she came here from Black, AL in 1950. She was retired from the Polk County School Board and was a member of the Church of God in Frostproof.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Marvett “Doc” Deal in 1986 and a son, Dennis Deal in 2020. Survivors include her sons, Ronald Deal of Frostproof, Robin Deal of Frostproof, Bruce Deal and wife, Sheri of Frostproof and Brian Deal and wife, Ginger of Frostproof; sister, Nell Nutt of Wrightsville, GA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Frostproof Church of God with Pastor Sam Haag officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery.
