Susan Diane Allen, 70

Susan D. Allen of Lake Wales passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, at her residence.

She was born June 29, 1953, in Christiana, Delaware to the late Brady and Ruth Taylor; she moved to Lake Wales from Delaware seven years ago. Susan was a secretary for the State of Delaware. She attended Towerwood Sunday Service and was a founding member of Smyrna Church of Christ in Delaware. Susan enjoyed going to the beach, doing art and crafts, and was a big fan of Tom Brady. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family. Susan was the rock of her family and the glue that held them all together.

Susan is survived by her sons, Brady Allen and wife Angela of Lakeland, and Shawn Allen and wife Nikki of Smyrna, Delaware; sister, Connie Shipe of Summit, Delaware; brother, William Michael Taylor, II of Romney, West Virginia; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Towerwood Community Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations in her honor can be sent to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).
