Sumatiben H. Patel, also known as Lalitaben

Sumatiben H. Patel of Avon Park passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.

She was born August 17, 1938 in India to the late Parbhubhai Nathabhai and Bhuliben Parbhubhai Patel. Sumatiben was a wonderful mother and homemaker who was always there when we needed her. She enjoyed gardening. She was known to love cooking and feeding everyone and anyone around her. She found joy in making everyone happy. She had many friends around the world and was a well-loved member of the community in Ndola, Zambia; Navsari, India; and Avon Park, Florida. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Sumatiben was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her sons, Hitendra Patel and Rajanikant Hira; daughter, Hemaxi Khana; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A private service will be held.
