Steven B. “Steve” Denney, 70

Steven B. “Steve” Denney of Lake Wales passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born February 25, 1951 in Holly Pond, Alabama to the late L.D. and Susie Denney; he moved to Lake Wales from Arab, Alabama as a teenager. Steve was a retired facilities manager for Florida’s Natural. He enjoyed woodworking and riding his Harley motorcycle.

Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Fullerton. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia A. “Pat” Denney; daughters, Michelle McKay (Albert) of Auburndale, Stephanie Denney of Savannah, Georgia, and Heather Jones (Chris) of Winter Haven; brother, Chris Denney of Arab, Alabama; grandchildren, Miranda Sangster (Cameron), Samantha Garcia, Brian Jones, Chase Garcia, and Trenton Denney; and great-grandchildren, Raelyn Sangster, and Romeo Garcia.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the family residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor can be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
