Starlin Dewey Carnley, Jr.

Starlin Dewey Carnley, Jr. of Lake Wales passed Sunday, November 29, 2009 at his residence.

He was born July 22, 1946 in Bartow to the late Starlin D. Carnley Sr. & Doreather Mims Carnley; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired mechanic/machinist for Adsit Duracast, and a veteran of Korea and Viet Nam, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated family man.

Survivors include his daughters, Kristie Spradley (John) of Lake Wales and Sheila A. Walley (Terry) of Paxton; son, Starlin D. Carnley III of Paxton; sister, Sherry L. Castenada of Lake Wales; brother, Claude M. Carnley of Lake Wales; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 02, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Graveside services are being held 11:30 AM, Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
