LAKE WALES--Stanley Lincoln Norbeck of Frostproof, died of auto accident Friday (Sept. 29, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 88.
Born February 12, 1918 in New Sweden, Maine; he was raised on his family’s potato farm until he met and married Mary Milton and moved to Camden, Maine. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was of the Lutheran faith. He worked at both Passmore Lumber Company and the Rockport Post Office. He was proud to be a Swede and adored his wife. He loved square dancing, eating his daughter’s desserts, grapefruit, whistling, traveling and always had a good joke. He considered himself a lucky man.
Mr. Norbeck was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Norbeck. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Norbeck of Lake Wales, FL; daughter, Greta Baeza of Frostproof, FL; grandchildren, Angelica and Rafi; and 4 great-grandchildren.
