Sidney Hollis

Sidney Hollis of Frostproof passed away Thursday, January 03, 2013 at his daughters residence.

He was born October 18, 1922 in Louisville, Mississippi to the late Maddison and Lavada (Walker) Hollis and has been a resident of Frostproof for 48 years moving here from Louisville, Mississippi. Sidney was a maintenance worker for Indian Lake Estates and of the Baptist faith.

He was Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie R. Hollis, 2008; son, Alton Hollis

Survivors include his daughters, Peggy Elaine Summerline of Frostproof, Alice Faye Evans of Frostproof; sons, James Truman Hollis of Frostproof, William Earl Hollis of Frostproof, Bobby Jack Hollis of Ft. Meade, David Lamar Hollis of Punta Gorda; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren


Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 05, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof with Rev. Wren Collins officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 until service time.
