Shirley Scott

Shirley Ann Scott of Frostproof passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Palms of Sebring.

Shirley was born July 21, 1937 in Frostproof to the late Elton Battle and Callie Rebecca (Meeks) McKenzie and has been a resident lifelong resident of the area. She was a retired Citrus Grader for Ben Hill Griffin and was a member of the Assembly Of God Church in Frostproof.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son, John Mathew Scott in 1994.

Survivors include her husband, James Clyde Scott of 57 years; daughters, Charlotte Williams of Perry, FL, Teka Scruggs of Frostproof; son, Tim Scott of Avon Park, FL, sister, Louise Clements of Lake City, FL; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild

Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Silver Hill Cemetery with Rev. James B. Wood and Rev. Kelly Galati officiating.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
