Shirley Eary, 85

Shirley Eary of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 under the care of Vitas Hospice at Advent Health Lake Wales.

She was born February 16, 1936 in Marmet, West Virginia to the late Charles and Sallie Carr; she moved to Lake Wales from Cocoa 15 years ago. Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling and handwork.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Gene Eary in 2013; daughter, Kimberly Hansell; an infant child at birth; sisters, Janet Carr, Carol Staats, and Bobbie Mazzella. She is survived by her daughter, Kara Eary Smith and husband Mark of Melbourne; son, A. Gene Eary of Melbourne; sister, Jane Lucas of Beverly Hills; brothers, Mike Carr of Saint Albans, West Virginia, and Jack Carr of Vienne, West Virginia; and grandchildren, Amanda Thibodeaux and husband Garrett, and Joshua Hansell.
