LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Shirley Douglas of Lake Wales died of lung failure Wednesday (Dec. 7, 2005) at Leesburg Health and Rehab. She was 67.

Born in Orlando on Feb. 19, 1938, she came to Lake Wales from there in 1970. She was a homemaker. She was of the Church of God faith.

Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her husband, Lorie Douglas. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Bryan, Helen Goodman, both of Lake Wales; son, Raymond Barber, Zolfo Springs; sister, Stella Walls, McKinny; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Lake Wales Cemetery.
