Shirley S. Bell, 85, of Lake Wales died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Lake Wales Medical Center of kidney failure.

Born December 21, 1922 in Endicott, New York; she moved to Lake Wales 31 years ago from Freeville, New York. She was a recipe tester for the Chalette Suzanne’s cook book and was of the Baptist faith.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard R. Bell who passed away in 1985; a son, Michael A. Bell and both brothers Lyle Settle and Haley Settle. Survivors include her daughters, Melanie Hanson of Lake Wales; and Candace Kreitner of Fayetteville, GA; and her son, Eric Bell of Lake Wales.
