Sheila F. Maclean

Sheila F. Mac Lean of Palmetto passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Westminster Manor in Bradenton.

She was born August 22, 1921 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England to the late George & Hannah Park; and she came here from Boca Raton to the Lake Wales & Frostproof area in 1982 and to Palmetto in 2001. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church in Palmetto, where she was active in the Glory Group and Thrift Shop. She enjoyed reading and baking.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander M. Mac Lean and a sister, Eileen J. Park. Survivors include her daughter, Eileen Heffner (Dale) of Palmetto; two sons, George Mac Lean (Debbie) of Loxahatchee and John Mac Lean (Amy) of Lake Worth; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Palmetto with Rev. Esther Robinson officiating. A family graveside service was held at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to American Cancer Society (Post Office Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123) or the First United Methodist Church of Palmetto (Children's Ministry, 330 11th Avenue West, Palmetto, FL 34221).
