Sheila Hanks Dale

Sheila Hanks Dale of Frostproof went to be with her Lord Wednesday, April 20, 2011 following a long battle with cancer.

She was born March 11, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Frostproof. She was a paraprofessional at Ben Hill Griffin Elementary School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof.

Sheila was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Hanks. Survivors include her husband, Kenny Dale; daughter, Leslie Brewer (Chris) of Frostproof; mother, Ruby Hanks of Frostproof; sister, Linda Spurgeon (Roy) of Frostproof; grandchildren, Joshua and Callie; niece, Jennifer Plair (Yancy); great-nieces, Anna and Gracie.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, April 25, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof with Dr. William "Buzzy" Elder. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Memorial Fund, 101 North Palm Avenue, Frostproof, FL 33843.
