Sharon Elaine Lawson

Sharon E. Lawson, 72 of Bartow, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born March 4, 1947 in Bartow, Florida to the late Joseph Lamar and Mary Joyce (Luna) King and she has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a retired Aluminum Fabricator and of the Protestant Faith. Sharon was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, liked playing on her tablet, enjoyed cross-stitch, crafts and was a great seamstress. She was an extremely strong lady with a soft heart for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lawson, Brothers, Floyd, Gary, Joseph Lamar, Jr and John Allen; sister, Paula Clouse.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Deese Gill ( Danny) of Lake Wales, sons, Darrel Deese ( Lee Anne) of Auburndale, Ryan Lee Lawson of Winter Haven; mother, Mary Mills of Alturas; sisters, Fay Dowdy of Winter Haven, Edna Bembry of Bartow, Diane Lewellen of Winter Haven, Theresa Young of Alturas, Denise Shireman of Alturas; brother, Wesley King of Lake Wales; 2 grandchildren , Aaron and Zach Gill ( Montana) ; 2 great grandchildren, Kasen and Brogan Gill; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. David Durham officiating. Interment will be held at the Wildwood Cemetery.
