Sharon Catherine Anderson

Sharon Catherine Anderson, a dedicated educator, compassionate nurse, and beloved mother, passed away on May 19, 2026, at The Grove Center. Born on June 29, 1941, in Newport, Kentucky, Sharon's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to service, both within her community and her family.

Sharon earned her bachelor’s degree early on and devoted 30 years of her life as a teacher with the Polk County school board, shaping countless young minds with her patience and passion for learning. Equally dedicated to the well-being of others, she also served as a nurse for 25 years, providing care and comfort to those in need with remarkable kindness and professionalism.

Her love extended beyond her professional roles into her personal passions. Sharon was an avid gardener whose green thumb brought beauty and life to those around her. She also had a deep affection for animals, finding joy and peace in their companionship.

Among her proudest accomplishments were her outreach efforts for the hungry through her church, and the Franciscans of the Church. Her faith and generosity inspired many as she tirelessly worked to alleviate the burdens of those less fortunate.

Sharon is survived by her son Brady Allen Bugge of Lake Wales, who remains a cherished part of her legacy. She was preceded in death by her parents, James I. North and Eleanor Gran; her sons Brian James Bugge and Evan Andrew Bugge; her sister Nancy Jameson and her husband Leroy; her first husband Roger L. Bugge, who passed in 1988; and her second husband George D. Anderson, who passed in 2008.

Throughout her life, Sharon Catherine Anderson exemplified dedication, compassion, and love. She leaves behind a lasting imprint on all who knew her, a testament to a life well lived in service to others, family, and the community. Her memory will be cherished and revered by her loved ones and all whose lives she touched.
