BABSON PARK--Scott R. Goolsby of Babson Park died of cancer Friday, December 29, 2006 at his residence. He was 51.

Born July 23, 1955 in Lake Wales; he has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a self-employed master cabinet builder. He was a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church of Lake Wales. He was a Nascar fan, and enjoyed football and music. In his younger years he was a C-Class water skiing racing boat driver.

Survivors include his parents, Holland and Louise Goolsby of Lake Wales; brothers, Guy & March Goolsby of Lake Wales; Alan & Nora Goolsby of Lake Wales; aunt, Daisy Goolsby of lake Wales; uncle, David Mercer of Punta Gorda; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 02, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornerstone Hospice, 901 Johns Avenue, Haines City, Florida 33844.
