Sarah Ethel Moore

Sarah Ethel Moore of Waverly passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at The Groves Center in Lake Wales.

She was born December 26, 1928 in West Palm Beach, FL to the late Luther & Annie Miller; she graduated from the Lake Wales Senior High School in 1946. She was a retired secretary for the State of Maryland and moved back to Lake Wales in 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales and was in the Ladies Circle at the church. She was also a Redskins and Bucs fan.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Roy H. Moore in 2004. Survivors include her daughters, Lynne Moore of Lake Wales and Laura Moore Seattle, WA; sister, Edwina Sestile of Macon, GA; and brother, L.A. Miller of Lake Wales.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, September 24, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales with Rev. Claudette Braswell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905) donation envelopes are available at the funeral home.
