Sarah H. Johnson

Sarah H. Johnson of Lake Wales passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at her residence.

She was born March 9, 1930 in Tangerine, FL to the late Fred C. & Annie Pearl (Williams) Houser; and came here from Avon Park in 1936. She was a retired registered nurse for the Lake Wales Hospital and a member of the First Christian Church of Lake Wales. She was also a former member of the Lake Wales Eastern Starr and enjoyed reading, puzzle books and cooking.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Warren Johnson in 1998 and two sons, Danny Johnson in 1995 and Robbie Johnson in 2009. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Faye Skinner of Bartow; son, Ted & Kathy Johnson of Avon Park; sister, Louise Carden of Lake Wales; 3 grandchildren, Jason & Christen Johnson, Matt Odom and Dustin Odom; and 2 great-grandchildren, Matthew & Charles.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Bob Hannan and Pastor Steve Greshel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church, Building Fund, 2039 State Road 60 East, Lake Wales, FL 33853.
