In Loving Memory of Sara Ann Morey, 76

Sara Ann Morey, a beloved member of the Frostproof community and a cherished mother, daughter, and friend, passed away at her home on Friday, April 19th, 2024. She was born on December 31, 1947 to the late Richard and Gladys Riley.

Sara was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion and love. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a proud member of the United Methodist Church of Frostproof and volunteer for the Frostproof Historical Museum.

A graduate in journalism from the University of Florida, Sara was an avid sports fan for both the Gator and Clemson teams. Go Gators!

She had a profound connection to animals and nature, finding solace and joy in the beauty of the world around her. She loved art and crafting, taking discarded objects and recycling them into something beautiful. She was an officer of the Florida Fossil Hunters where she thrived in educating and inspiring others about fossils and the wonders of the natural world.

One could always find Sara tending to her plants by the lake, surrounded by the animals she adored. Her love for her children and family was evident in everything she did, and she made the selfless decision to move back to Frostproof to care for her beloved father and farm.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Amanda, her son, Chance, grandchildren, Paisley, Cooper and Hunter, brother, Eugene Riley, and a community that will forever be grateful for her presence in their lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world.

May her spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Sara will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at First Methodist Church of Frostproof at 2:00pm.
