Sara Elizabeth Caro, 78

Sara Elizabeth Caro of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 under Vitas Hospice Care at Advent Health Lake Wales.

She was born August 24, 1942 in Georgia to the late William Williford, Sr. and Edna Lewis; she moved to Lake Wales from Georgia as a baby with her family. Sara was a retired Supervisor for Citrus World and was attended the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales. She was a charter member of the Women of the Moose chapter #1974 and loved taking road trips, working in her yard, and going to the beach. She loved her family and was an awesome mom.

Sara was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Lewis Sangster; and son-in-law, James Townson. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Knighten (Johnny Smith) of Lake Wales, and Susan Sangster Townson of Babson Park; son, Don Caro (Rhonda) of Lake Wales; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Ronnie Abshire.
