SANDY l. WHITING, 57

Sandy Whiting of Frostproof, FL passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Royal Care Nursing Home in Avon Park, FL.

She was born February 19, 1960 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to the late Desmond and Doris (Ritchie) Gibbons. She had been a resident of Lakeland, FL before moving to Frostproof seven years ago.

She was of the Baptist faith and was an avid Tampa Bay Bucs fan, she enjoyed outdoor activities including camping and four-wheelers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Billy. Survivors include her son, Thomas J. “T. J.” Whiting and his wife, Donna of Covington, VA; sister, Dorothy Becker of Clearwater, FL and brother, Robert Gibbons and his wife Melissa of Spring Hill, FL; and 3 grandchildren, Bryson, Brayden and Brantley.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof.  Interment will be held at the Lonestar Cemetery in Covington, Va.
