Sandy Smith

Sandy Smith of Waverly passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 15, 1944 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late James Ralph & Dorothy (Goodin) Tilgham; and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a retired supervisor from Waverly Growers and a member of the Waverly Baptist Church. She loved to read romance novels, playing crossword puzzles, watching game shows and baking. She was a proud cancer survivor.

Survivors include her daughters, Faith Gushlaw (Tony) of Chipley and Hope Franklin (Vance) of Alturas; son, Jimmy Smith (Sabrina Burnine) of Huntington, TN; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. We will always love you and miss you. Until we see you in heaven.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until the funeral service at 7:00 pm Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Waverly Baptist Church with Rev. David Durham officiating.
