Sandra "Sandy" Wienk

SANDRA T.  WIENK On May 31 st Sandy left us for a far better place. Sandy came to Lake Wales from Long Island, NY to attend college and ended up with a rewarding career in banking and a large loving family. Sandy and Bill were “island freaks” and visited over 30 Caribbean islands over their 42 years of marriage. They also visited the Flagler Beach and Florida Keys often. Sandy enjoyed reading and watching old westerns and black and white movies. She was talented in decorating and made each home they had a fun and bright place. Her greatest love was her family. They gave her much joy over the years as they grew and flourished. She would light up whenever family was in attendance. Her bright light will be missed but never forgotten. Sandy was a wife, a mother, a friend and always a lady. She was survived by her husband of 42 years, William “Bill” Wienk; daughters, Kathy Hart, Kim Hallman (Ricky) and Robin Pike (Mark); sister, Angelina Nyberg (Ken) of Long Island, NY; seven grandchildren, Jackson Hart, Grant Hart, Jarrod Rouse (Brandi), Clayton Rouse, Tyler Pike (Gina), Jordon Pike (Ashton) and Madison Pike; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Rouse and Stetson Pike; nieces, Jenny, Suzanne, Caroline and Laura. Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com .
