Sandra "Sandy" Respress

Sandra C “Sandy” Respress, 70, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at her residence in Frostproof, FL. She was born on June 18, 1945, in Nashville, Georgia to the late Theron and Dorothy (Bennett) Gray and has been a resident of this area since 1980 moving here from the Tampa, Florida area. She was a former waitress at the Family Restaurant, an employee of Wellcraft in Avon Park and a Quality Control employee for Ben Hill Griffin. Sandy enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of the Union Congregational Church in Avon Park, FL. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Wineberger; son, Dale Wineberger and brother, Dennis Grey. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Walter Respress, Jr.; daughters, Chelene (Francisco) Gonzales of Lake Wales and Shelly Turner of Lumberton, North Carolina; sons, Ray (Carla) Respress of Avon Park and John (Danielle) Respress of Avon Park.; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren, all equally loved including Josh Taylor, Christa Wineberger and Andrew Curd. Sister, Brenda Miller of Plant City and Sister-in-law, Hilda Grey of Bushnell. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 2, 2016, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Terrie Lawson officiating.
