SAMUEL D. “SAM” WISE, 50

LAKE WALES--Samuel D. “Sam” Wise of Lake Wales died of heart failure Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 50.

Born July 28, 1956 in Uniontown, PA; he lived in Lake Wales since 1976 coming from New Salem, PA. He was the Tire Department Supervisor for Oakley Transport. He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed restoring old cars. He was a dedicated father and an avid handyman.

Mr. Wise was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Wise in 1956 and a sister, Dora Wise in 1952. Survivors include his wife, Wendy Wise of Lake Wales; sons, Samuel D. “Sammy” Wise of Lake Wales; Zachary A. Wise of Lake Wales; step-daughters, Ashley Holman of Winter Haven; April Holman of Winter Haven; father and step-mother, Samuel E. & Helen Wise of Vanderbuilt, PA; sister, Debra Wise of McKeesport, PA; 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 18, 2007 at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
