Sally Franz

Sally Franz of Frostproof passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at her home.

She was born December 25, 1926 in Philippi, WV to the late Isaac Ernest & Violet G. (Moore) Sturm. She was a retired business owner and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.

Survivors include her husband, Richard B. "Dick" Franz; daughter, Sherry Lou Smith of St. Pete; sons, Richard B. Franz II of Seminole and Michael E. Franz of Orange Park; sister, Patricia Clarkson of Elkview, WV; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. The graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

The family kindly requests donations to either Hope Hospice or the First United Methodist Church of Frostproof in lieu of flowers.
