2. Eugene “Gene” Mooney of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his residence.

He was born September 14, 1930 in Wauchula to the late David and Gladys Mooney. Gene was a retired Electrician for Alcoca and was a member of the Assembly of God faith. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, who served in Korea.

Gene is survived by his daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” Keen of Frostproof, and Theresa “Tessie” Finley of Citrus Springs; son, Tim Mooney of Frostproof; sister, Linda Mimms of Georgia; brothers, Bob Mooney of Melbourne; and four grandchildren.
