Ruth H. Quiller

Ruth H. Quiller of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Dr. Phillips Hospital in Orlando.

She was born November 18, 1927 in Knoxville, TN to the late Fred L. & Mildred M. Bacon; she came here in 1993 from Charleston, WV. She and her first husband were the owners and operators of Pauley Road Construction & Bridge Building and Pauley Paving Companies in Charleston, WV. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of the American Orchid Society and a lifetime member of the Ridge Orchid Society and the A.S.P.C.A. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid Bingo player.

Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Dillard C. Pauley in 1992 and a son, Albert Parker Carden in 1977. Survivors include her husband, Herbert Quiller; step-daughter, Debra S. Lang (husband, Gordon) of Lake Wales; step-son, Herbert M. Quiller of Orlando; former daughter-in-law, Carolyn Carden Crocker of Austin, TX; 2 grandchildren, Trevor Parker Carden-Crocker of Charlotte, NC and Tomee Morgan Carden-Crocker of Austin, TX; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with the family receiving friends from 2:00 PM until service time. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
