Ruth Lenore Pickering

Ruth L. Pickering, 67 of Babson Park, Florida passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Oaks at Avon in Avon Park, Florida. She was born April 15, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul A. and Leona (Schuette)Pickering and has been a resident of the area since 1969 moving here from Ohio. She was The Owner Operator of Rainbow Bookkeeping and Secretarial Services. Ruth was a member of the Eastern Star of Lake Worth; she attended Impact Church of Lake Wales and loved her Black Lab Maggie.

Survivors include her brothers, James A. and Jeanette Pickering of Strongsville, Ohio, Ronald Pickering and Petie of Medina, Ohio, longtime friends John Steedley and Barbara Dinker.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
