Ruth Bulwan Motis

Ruth Bulwan Motis, 79 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at her residence due to Respiratory Failure.

She was born January 25, 1935 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late John E. and Esther (Barney) Bulwan and she has been a resident of the area for 27 years moving here from Friend, Nebraska. She was a Nurse and Homemaker, Ruth was an accomplished water skier and took pride in teaching all of her children to water ski. Ruth graduated from Friend High School in Friend, Nebraska she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 183 in Friend, Nebraska and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Wales.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matt Motis, brothers, Rex Bulwan and Paul Bulwan, sister-n- law, Arlene Bulwan.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Edmund Motis; sons, Michael Motis and wife Regina of Babson Park, John Motis and wife Laura of Babson Park, David Motis and wife Jeanette of Babson Park; daughter-n-law, Rhonda Motis of Lake Wales; sisters, Marilyn Rohrig and husband Allan of Friend, NE, Clarice Bohn and husband Richard of Omaha, NE; sister-n-law, Dolores Bulwan of York, NE; 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with The Rev. Fr. Thomas C. Seitz officiating and Deacon John Motis.
Inurnment will follow at the Episcopal Church Cloister Garden.
