Ruby Hanks

Ruby Grace Hanks, 75 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at The Groves Center.
She was born September 26, 1938 in Hartford, Alabama and has been a resident of the area since 1946 moving here from Tampa.
She was a retired Citrus Grader with Ben Hill Griffin. Ruby enjoyed shopping and watching lifetime network.

She was preceded in death by Husband Johnny Hanks; daughter, Shelia Dale; brother, Milton Lee; father, Howard Lee; mother and step father, Ruby (Lockard) and James T. Knight.

Survivors include her Daughter Linda Hanks Spurgeon of Frostproof, Florida; Sisters Jeanette Stephenson of Phenix City, Alabama, Martha Taylor of Tampa, Florida, Cathleen Argoe of Tampa, Florida, Darlene Junkin of Atlanta, Georgia; Brothers Howard Lee of Frostproof, Florida, Grady Lee of Tampa, Florida; 2 grandchildren; Jennifer Plair, Leslie Brewer husband Chris; 4 great grandchildren, Anna Plair, Gracie Plair, Joshua Brewer, Callie Brewer and lifelong friend Mary Joyce Barnes.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Frostproof. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof.
