Ruby Nell Curtis

Ruby Nell Curtis, 76, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Saturday, September 05, 2015 at the Grove Center.

She was born April 9, 1939 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Hosea and Esther (Palmer) Baxley. She has been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a Citrus Grader for over 25 years at Ben Hill, Cargill and Sunpure. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Frostproof.

She is preceded in death by her son William Larry Miller, Brother Talmadge Baxley and sister Dorothy Magaline Jefferies.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years Willie “Bobby” Curtis, daughter Kathi Spence and husband James of Frostproof, FL., sisters Pauline Cribbs of Dothan, AL, Marie Hargo and husband Jessie of Lake Wales, FL, Mary Livingston and husband Harold of Frostproof, FL, 3 grandchildren James Spence and wife Esther of Lakeland, FL, Kaylin Gurganus and husband Gerald of Dothan, AL, Kelly Banks and husband Chris of Babson Park, FL, , 6 great-grandchildren Kaiden Gurganus, Lillian Spence, Eliza Spence, Emma Banks, Kieran Gurganus and Stella Spence, and her beloved extended family.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church in Frostproof with Rev. Michael J. Arms, Mr. Tim Hood and her grandson Mr. James Spence officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Frostproof.
