R.P. "Daddy Love" Love, Jr.

R.P. Love Jr. "Daddy Love" of Babson Park passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his residence.

He was born February 02, 1924 in Trenton, FL to the late Remus P. Love, Sr. & Elizabeth P. Henry Love; he came to Lake Wales in 1945 and moved to Babson Park in 1969. He was a retired salesman for Mutual Wholesale Co. and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales, where he served as a deacon for many years and was in the Primetimers. He was also a member of the Keenages and enjoyed fishing and boating on Crooked Lake with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Love; daughters, Cindy Love of Babson Park, Cheryl Love of Babson Park and April Love of Nokomis; sons, Larry Love of San Diego, CA, Perry Love of Babson Park and Greg Love of Babson Park; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 18, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Markley officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
