FROSTPROOF -- Mr. Royal C. Andrews of Frostproof died of heart failure Saturday (Aug. 26, 2006) at home. He was 85.

Born in Blackstone, Va., on Oct. 11, 1920, he came to Frostproof from Virginia Beach, Va., in 1995. He was a police officer in Virginia. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police. He was a Lutheran.

Mr. Andrews is survived by his daughter, Pamela Andrews Shepherd, Watkinsville, Ga.
