Roy Lee Miles

Roy Lee Miles, 70, of Frostproof, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Somers Hospice House in Sebring, Florida. He was born June 1, 1947, in Muskegon, Michigan to the late William and Alta Miles.   He worked as a Night Supervisor for Hunt Brothers Citrus.   He loved fishing and being on the water and had a passion for woodworking. Roy was a dedicated Christian and loved his family dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nancy Enders, Thelma Jones and Mary Miles. He is survived by his wife Peggy Sue Miles; sons, Mark Miles (Patty) of St. Petersburg, FL, Roy Miles, Jr. of TN, Troy Miles of TN and Scott McClure (Ana) of Bartow, FL; daughters, Lynette Day of Donaldsonville, GA, Angela Whitaker of TN, Jewell Mixon (Mingo) of Lake Wales, FL, and Spring Dority (John) of Auburndale, FL; brothers, Clayton Miles of Muskegon, MI and William J. Miles, Jr of Muskegon, MI; sister, Barbara Shaffer of Muskegon, MI; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2-3 pm at God’s Family Assembly Church in Frostproof, FL with services at 3 pm.
