Rose L. Nix of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her residence.

She was born October 8, 1948 in Tampa to the late George & Alice Purcell; and she came here from Texas 15 years ago. She was a retired bank teller and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardens, sewing and quilting.

Survivors include her son, Ryan Nix and wife, Angela of Canton, GA; sisters, Pearl O’Neal of Lake Wales, Gloria Gordon of Tampa and Mary Casper of Tampa; and four grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Wyatt and Ava.

Private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
